The Zig Zags via the direct buttress was the best option today for father and son team for Kirkhope Mountaineering.
The guys wanted to get their teeth stuck into something and the direct route up the front of Gearr Aonach fitted the bill.
A few thought provoking moves on the wet rock saw us up 3 good pitches of scrambling before descending down the normal route, with an abseil descent, concluded the day.
