Today Mark was out for a walk up the Munro of Stob Dearg in Glen Coe. This Munro forms the very famous and well photographed peak facing the Kings house hotel on Rannoh mor, and is part of the massif of Buachaille Etive Mor.
Mark reports an enjoyable day although wet and windy for most of it with low cloud.
The top of the corie forms a rocky edge in summer that requires a bit of route finding from the path and can be loose if the wrong route is taken. From there it is a stony path over the
rising broad ridge to the summit, this section is normally very exposed to the winds.
