Ben Nevis via the Mountain Path left the best till last today. With -5 degrees at the start, very different to 2 days ago of +10 degrees, there was a cloud inversion over Loch Eil. Getting higher a heavy frost and yesterdays snow made going slippery but manageable. At 1300m we popped abouve the cloud to fantastic views across Lochaber, including a Brocken spectre. Great way to start the new year.
