My tour of Scotlands’ classic ridges continues today with Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis. An early start meant we were ahead of the game, crowds and heat seeing us at the bottom of the route at 9am and on the summit of Ben Nevis by 11am. The mountain had a very alpine feel with the sun and lots of snow, but strong winds over tower gap and the summit proved tricky. A descent down Ledge Route completed the day, still with deep snow in No.5 gully.
