Today was day 1 of our Skye Munros course. Its been tricky planning days on Skye recently with the weather: high rainfall putting rivers in spate and blocking routes, high winds blocking summits and heavy showers that weren’t blocked by waterproofs.
With rivers still high and high rainfall today we aimed for Sgurr a Ghreadaidh and Sgurr a Mhadaidh for a shorter day. The side streams were high on the walk in but passable and we made quick progress on to the ridge in the cloud.
With not many views and a cold wind we quickly got the 2 munros and started our descent back into the corrie.
