Today i was on the northern two munros of Sgurr nan Gillean and Am Basteir on the isle of Skye.

The weather was good today on the ridge and to make the day as ameinable as possible to get to the summit we took the south ridge up to Sgurr nan Gillean, a slightly longer walk but less scrambling to the summit. From there we descended the west ridge which was dry and grippy.

Once down the abseil we made our way to Am Basteir making swift progress up the dry slabs to the summit. The clouds nearly cleared for a view but not quite. Just one munro left to do on Skye on Saturday, the Inaccessible Pinnacle.

If you would like to tick off the Skye munros next year then let us know. https://www.thehighlandmountaincompany.co.uk/4-days-munro-course
