Isle of Skye, Cuillin ridge

Today was the hottest day of the year and with a brief for the walk today for a ‘classic Skye walk with great views’ we walked from the Sligachan up to Bealach a Bhasteir, between Sgurr nan Gillean and Am Bhasteir.

With lots of stops to fill up with water from the stream and take photos we made it to the glaciated slabs that lead into the corrie. A good break at the lochan to hydrate we then ascended the scree path to the bealach, where we were rewarded with views of the Cuillin ridge, Ardnamurchan point, Ben Nevis and Torridon.
