Today i was on Ben Nevis via the mountain track. I had an open mind today with regard to getting to the summit with the strong wind in the forecast. But it turned out to be not too bad.
There is now fresh now from around 800m on the mountain and with a constant, if thin covering from around 1000m. The winds at the top were a steady 40mph but manageable with snow showers coming and going through the day. There was a lot of hail falling and the best bit of kit i packed today was my goggles.
