Ben Nevis CIC hut

With a good forecast we decided to head up to the CIC hut on Ben Nevis to get the views of the impressive snowy north face.

The snow is down to the level of the hut at about 700m and with the clouds high we got good views into the big crags and gullies.

The north face of Ben Nevis is very different from the west face which the main mountain path ascends to the summit. The path up to the hut is well defined and is a good surface, but from the CIC hut there are no main paths and the mountain takes on a very different and spectacular feel.

If you want to ascend Ben Nevis this winter either via the mountain track or via one of the classic north face routes then please contact us https://www.thehighlandmountaincompany.co.uk/winter-guiding
