With the temperature having been low for the past week, the low lying Beinn Udlaidh was worth a look. We had mixed results, of ice that it.
We climbed a mixed Central gully around grade 3, with the ice more frozen at the base and more fluid nearer the top.
We then went up Sunshine gully grade 3, with very fat water ice, mostly of a toffee consistency.
Good to get the ice screws turning and 6 pitches of climbing done, could do with a bit more of a chill though.
